(MAY 25)
On May 30, 2005,
in Tijuana, Mexico, Jackie Nava, 9-1-1 (7KO), of Mexico
will be fighting for a world title. She was originally supposed to
fight Paola González, (unknown
record) of Columbia. The event was
announced by the Worldwide Council in a press release.
On May 22, WBAN learned that Gonzalez has been ruled out for "lack of
activity".
They then said that Nava was fighting Anais Gutierrez of
Colombia. But it seems they are having trouble with getting her Visa
for her to go to Mexico. She is now out of the fight.
Nava is now apparently suppose to fight Terri Cruz of Denver, Colorado,
according to news sources. The event date changed from May 28th
to May 30th.
The belt that will be up for grabs for the World Championship (not sure what
weight) of the Consejo Mundial de Boxeo (CMB).
