(JUNE 24) After months of discussion,
talks have been discontinued regarding a fight in Germany between
female boxers, Natasha Ragosina and Leatitia “Baby Girl”
Robinson. This fight could have been the fight of the year.
Last week on ESPN2, Laila Ali said, the only fighters she truly
wanted to fight were Ragosina, Robinson and Wolfe. Interestingly,
none of these fighters have fought each other. It continues to look
as none of these fighters will fight as they nervously try to
maintain their record as they wait for a chance at Ali.
Except for Robinson, who has no fear of the other fighters and has
been trying to get Ragosina to fight since February. Robinson’s team
has sent tapes but has received, nor even requested, a Ragosina
tape. Robinson is even willing to travel to Germany and fight in
Ragosina’s back yard but even this offer is to no avail. In fact, it
appears that neither Ragosina or Ragosina’s people have confidence
in the outcome of a Ragosina-Robinson fight.
Robinson is the current WIBA Middleweight Champion and would be
coming up in weight to fight Ragosina at super-middleweight.
Robinson is 14-0, with her last fight in December 2005 against
Cassandra Geigger.
In keeping with the German film, “Run, Lola, Run!,” Natasha Ragosina
continues to run from Leatitia “Baby Girl” Robinson.
