(JAN 10) On the Team Palle website, they have reported that Anita
Christensen has had to call off her title defense against Oksana
Vasilyeva scheduled for next Saturday, due to an injury to her right
thumb. The injury occurred on January 2nd, during her
training.
According to Bettina Palle, it is more than likely that Christensen will
be stripped of her WIBF belt, as a previous shoulder injury already
prevented her from defending her title for a long period.
However, Bettina Palle will contact WIBF immediately after Saturday's
card, in an attempt to keep the belt in Christensen’s hands. Bettina
Palle does not sound overly optimistic, that she will be able to
convince WIBF.
