(SEPT 29) While the big event on the
14th October bill is the WBA/WBC unification bout between Mikkel
Kessler and Markus Beyer, Teampalle has also begun beating the drum
for Anita Christensen's attempt to win the WBA/WBC titles.
Under the headline, "World Championship Belts becomes me", Anita
Christensen's tells about her ambitions to regain her status as
World Champion and about her preparations to reach that goal. "I
feel, that that boxing at it's highest international level, still
has something very valuable to offer for me, both as an athlete and
a person."
She longs to be back in business as a World Champion and expresses
her frustration, that she was kept out of the ring for so long
caused by injuries, and finally was stripped her the WIBF title due
to inactivity. Despite the disappointment to lose the title, she
admits it was only fair that she lost it after her long absence from
the ring.
Last Tuesday, Anita Christensen began a three-week intensive
training camp with her new trainer Keld Krogh in Copenhagen, to
prepare for her world championship fight against Nadia Hockmi of
France.
Her trainer gives the following judgment
on her future: "Take my word for it, Anita has many exciting fights
and good experiences yet to offer her many fans. Right now we are
focusing on her french opponent Nadia Hocki, and how Anita can
defeat her."
