Juan Carlos "Bronquito" Contreras was inspired to take up boxing by watching his mum, Ana Arrazola. On Friday night, the two of them fought on the same bill (“against different opponents, obviously!” Alfredo Jaime Gómez felt it necessary to point out) in the Auditorio Enrique Bátiz in Cuautitlán Izcalli (Mexico), with Juan Carlos “Bronco” Contreras, father and husband, working the corner for both fights.
 

First into the ring came “Bronquito”, who defeated Juan Ramos over 3 rounds on points. Not bad, but not quite there yet. When the turn came for the professionals, Mamita really showed how, inflicting a humiliating second round TKO on a far heavier (and supposedly tough) opponent, María Eugenia García; who’s a bantamweight to Arrazola’s junior fly!
