(JUN 18) The originally scheduled
bantamweight battle between Valerie Evans making her pro debut on
Jerry Hoffman's RIOT card at the San Jose Civic Auditorium and Kat
Cruz of Los Angeles, had to be scrapped due to nose surgery
for Evans.
Another San Jose area boxer Cynthia
Talmadge, making her pro debut, will substitute in a featherweight
match vs. Jennifer Barber, 1-0-0, of Northridge. The four
round bout is part of the first RIOT boxing event in San Jose, after
15 years of sold out shows in Santa Cruz and Monterey.
Jesus "Chuy" Rodriguez (14-2 Salinas)
faces Hector "The Mongoose" Alatorre (14-1 Tulare) in the Main
Event. The 10 rounder is for the California State Jr. Welterweight
Championship.
Undefeated Eloy Perez (8-0 Salinas)
takes on Carlos Musquez (3-1-1 Sacramento) in the semi-main at 132.
The card will have six bouts and 32
