(SEPT 9) Last night
at the Maritim Hotel, in Berlin, Germany, Natascha Ragosina,
167, stopped Gardy Pena, 161¾, at 1:41 seconds of the second
round in a scheduled 10-round title bout. Ragosina won the vacant
WIBA super middleweight, and the WBA and WIBF super middleweight
title.
In other women’s
bouts, bantamweight Okasana Vasilyeva, 118, TKO’d Natascha
Guthier, 117½, 0:43 seconds in the fourth round and Vasilyeva
won the WIBF bantamweight title; welterweight Svetlana Kuhl,
144½, TKO’s Tatjana Dieckmann, 146¾, 0:34 seconds of the
second round, scheduled for six; and lastly, Elina Tissen,
122¾, won a four-round majority decision over Olga Bojare,
124¼.
