(JULY 9) This week WBAN received a
pleasant surprise to be contacted by 6'1" super middleweight Kendra
Lenhart, a female boxer who fights out of Sevierville, Tennessee.
Lenhart fought professionally from 1998 to 2002, fighting many of
the best women boxers in the sport. Lenhart's last fight took place
on December 13, 2002, against Jacqui Frazier-Lyde.
In February of 2000, I met Lenhart and her husband-trainer Marvin
Lenhart, in Kenner, Louisiana, when she was fighting Trina
Ortegon for an IFBA world title, on an all-women's card. [Photos in
this article are from that meeting in 2000]
Lenhart told WBAN, "For the past few years I decided to spend time
with my children, They are older now, and are doing well. I would
like to get a four round bout and come back to fight and work my way
back up to the top."
Lenhart fights from anywhere from about 164-174 lbs. If
promoters or matchmakers are interested in featuring Lenhart in a
four-rounder, contact WBAN and
we will forward your info to her.
