(JULY 20) Last night at the Quinte
Sports Centre, Belleville, Ontario, Canada, and promoted by Buxton
Promotions, featherweight Lindsay Garbatt, 125 ½, now 2-1-0 (2 KOs),
of Ontario, stopped Lucia Larcinese, 127, in the fourth round and
the final round.
What some seem to think was a premature stoppage, the crowd began to
chant, “Rematch, Rematch.” According to one source, Larcinese was
taking some heavy artillery from Garbatt, with a left hook as the
final punch of the fight, that buckled Larcinese’s knees.
