(SEPT 25)  It really is a shame that Chevelle Hallback is inactive but empty challenges won’t help her career. When Team Hallback recently made the not so subtle challenge on WBAN, Layla stepped up and accepted. Layla’s promoter Frank Luca of Crown Boxing offered Chevelle the fight at the relatively small Orlean’s Casino venue (no HBO!) for the standard purse of $5,000 and a title shot...but she wants more.

Layla was paid $3,000 in what was supposed to be a “sanctioned” title fight in Chevelle’s hometown of Savannah. It was not sanctioned by the IBA and Layla was ripped off by the local judges. Layla also accepted the rematch with Chevelle in California where ESPN’s Teddy Atlas and many others had Layla winning at the end of a close fight.

Layla doesn’t need Chevelle who is beneath her in some of the rankings and who issued the challenge. So let’s do it Chevelle. Put up or shut up! Deal or no deal?!
