(AUG 25) WBAN has just recently
viewed more video footage on featherweight Amanda Serrano, 4-0-0
(3KO), in a couple of her recent bouts. Serrano thus
far, early in her career is taking this sport by storm as a
newcomer. She is a rookie this year, and has already had four pro
bouts---with three of those fights out of New York where she is
living.
Serrano continuously seeks bouts,
with any and everyone---always looking for a challenge. She is
one of those boxers who you would just like to use a cookie
cutter and make more with the moxie that this fighter has shown
in the short time of boxing professionally.
On March 20th, Serrano made her pro debut in Albany, New York.
Serrano could have easily nabbed some inferior opponent, playing
it safe, but she chose to fight a top-notch amateur Jackie
Trivilino who was also making her pro debut. The two were the
"Fight of the Night" and the bout was non-stop action.
She then fought Brittany Cruz, in Florida, Carolina Martinez, in
the Dominican Republic, and Christina Ruiz, in San Antonio,
Texas, winning all those bouts by TKO.
Serrano has contacted WBAN on different occasions always trying
to connect with any and all boxers to get on fight cards in
their hometowns. She just doesn't seem to care where she fights,
or who she fights.
Boxing fans should keep their eye
on this fighter---she is definitely on the road to making a name
for herself in this sport.
