(NOV 13) Tonight at the Shaw
Conference Centre, Edmonton, Canada, there will be two women's bouts
on the card. In an undercard attraction, in a six-rounder,
Ayana Pelletier, 6-1-0 (4 KO), from Winnipeg, will be fighting
Lindsay Garbatt, 3-2-0 (0KO), of Courtice, Ontario, Canada.
In the main event, Ann Marie Saccurato, 14-4-26 KO0, of New York,
will fight Jelena Mrdjenovich, 23-4-1 (11KO), of Edmonton, where the
two will mix it up in a 10-rounder for the WBC lightweight world
title. Saccurato will be defending this title.
At yesterday's weigh-in, the women came in at the following weights:
Lindsay Garbatt 134.2, Ayana Pelletier, 135.2, Saccurato, 133.2, and
Mrdjenovich, 133.8.
