(APR 25) Last night at the Alster Sporthalle,
in Hamburg, Germany, Susi Kentikian won a controversial split
decision against Nadia Raoui. The judges scored the bout
96-94, 96-94. 95-96 in favour of Kentikian. The fight was fought at
an extremely high pace, and one of the best womens' bouts seen in
Germany. The two were fighting for the WBA, WBO and WIBF
flyweight title. The fight was the main event of the card and
was shown on ZDF.
Further female action in Europe took place in Herning, Denmark, this
night where Vinni Skovgaard won a six-round unanimous decision
over Diane Schwachhofer. This fight was on the
undercard of the Carl Froch vs Mikkel Kessler WBO Super Middleweight
bout in the Super 6 series.
