(MAY 8) Last night in Albuquerque,
New Mexico, new Promoter Danny Romero along with Golden Boy
Promotions, who presented a fight card, and televised on ESPN2
Friday Night fights, had a female bout on the card.
On the undercard, in a four-rounder featherweight Amanda Crespin
(2-1-1) pitched a shutout over Clare De La Torre (1-10-1).
Crespin, once a very good National amateur had been struggling
in the pro ranks but as of late she is improving and is starting to
look better each time she has another fight. Crespin appeared to be
more relaxed then in past fights.
Crespin has been training and sparring with Victoria Cisneros and it
has made Crespin a better fighter for the pros.
Crespin said, "Victoria has taught me a lot. In a month she showed
me more than anything----not to rush into war, set it up, and it has
worked with me in sparring, especially in my last two fights."
