(JULY 7)- I have just come from a
breakfast meeting with the investors of Cloverlay Management
Corporation, Lisa "Bad News" Browns management. I have been handed
my marching orders in terms of this letter very specifically. It was
noted in "The Boxing Examiner" interview with Ana Julaton this past
week that she would "100% " consider a rematch if the opportunity
presented itself. Here is the start of that opportunity.
We understand you want to fight in the Phillippines in or around
Dec. on T.V. Three of Lisa's last four fights have been T.V.
broadcasts including FOX TV. WE "100 %" welcome the opportunity to
come to the Phillipines to do the rematch-Why not- great people,
great fight fans.!
Our email reply to David A. Avila's article last week in "The Sweet
Science" still applies.
The best fighters out there, in my humble opinion, include Ada Valez,
Marcela Acuna, and the most dangerous, in my opinion, the Las Vegas
phenom, 25 year old Melinda Cooper (whom nobody seems to want to
fight- what else is new- welcome to how boxing continues to shoot
itself in the foot- we will get to that fight- Lisa believes having
had to travel the world to fight that it would be fitting that she
give this young lady the opportunity-she has been there), aside from
Ana Julaton whose victory over Jeffries cannot be denied.
Team Brown requires eight weeks notice to complete a proper training
camp and this apparently would work into Team Julaton's time frame
and would allow us as well to satisfy our WBA mandatory requirements
or unification with Ms Acuna. We cherish that belt at this time in
Lisa's career.
As a thirty nine year old fighter Lisa needs the proper time to
prepare. I believe boxrec has Ana Julaton rated no. ten and Lisa
Brown no three in the world. I believe Freddie Roach in an interview
recently said "we should try and reverse our losses." Here is the
start with no smoke and mirrors.
You came to Canada and we would love to go down to the Phillipines.
As I mentioned- great people, great culture, great fight fans. Lisa
has travelled the world, from South Korea to Australia to obtain
fights, so this is nothing new. Having sat chomping at the bit, and
frankly somewhat bemused and confused, while you fought on Canadian
National TV, and our Canadian fighter who just beat you sat at home,
the day before our national holiday, Canada Day, rest assured we are
ready to do part two.
We would have done that at Casino Rama, on TSN, as part of Canada
day but "the opportunity did not present itself." I suspect you Ana
Julaton are as well, if indeed you want to etch that one sided loss
away, chomping at the bit. That's it - the beginning of the
opportunity presents itself, openly and without confusion. If not
the Phillipines we will gladly go back to Casino Rama to entertain
part two.- Yours very truly and most certainly with all respect and
so there is no confusion.
P.S. To Freddie Roach- sorry we did not get to chat longer- My far
better half, Suzanna and I, did not want to interrupt you quietly
eating your cookie! In short, yours truly wrote an article about you
in "TheBoxingExaminer"- it is still in the "news flash" section, in
regards to my fond memories of you, the fighter.
