(JULY 7) This past 4th of July holiday weekend, world champion Carina "La Reina" Moreno, greeted fans in Aptos California at gathering titled "The World's Shortest Parade." Moreno, strolled through town waving to fans as they cheered her on.

"It's an honor to be invited to special events in my hometown area," stated Moreno. "Giving back to my fans is very important to me. I'm hoping to get back in the ring soon."

Plans to have Carina fight in her hometown of Watsonville California are in the beginning stages. If all goes well a possible venue and date will be announced in the near future.

Moreno is eager to return to the ring as she said, "I've been out of the ring for a long time and I can't wait to get back. This layoff has given me time to address my restaurant business, but I'm ready to start fighting regularly again."
