(MAY 26) On the "News One" Internet website, the reported that a six-member women’s Indian team will participate in the second China Open boxing tournament from May 27 to June 4. The tournaments venue will be held at the Guiyang City.

There will be "three" weight divisions that will coincide with the standards that were set with the 2012 Olympics in London for the women's boxing segment.

According to the News One site, they reported the following: "The participation in these competitions is the beginning of the first phase of Indian Amateur Boxing Federation’s (IABF) preparation for the qualifier event of the London Olympics, the AIBA Women’s World Championships scheduled to be held in May next year."
