Saccurato to fight Farias in Argentina

(AUG 1) On Saturday, August 6, 2011, at the Estadio Socios Fundadores, in Chubut, Argentina, Ann Marie Saccurato, 33, 15-5-2 (6KO), of White Plains, New York, USA, is set to fight Erica "La Pantera" Farias, 27, 10-0-0 (6KO), of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Saccurato will be defending her WBC lightweight title in a 10-round bout.

Also on the card, super bantamweight Alejandra "La China" Zamora, 22, 1-0-0 (0KO), of Chubut, Argentina, will be fighting Mayra "La Guapa" Gomez, 1-0-0 (1KO), of Neuquen, Argentina, in a four round bout.

We also have listed another female bout featuring junior flyweight Mariana Navarro, of Chubut, Argentina, who will be making her pro debut and is scheduled to fight four rounds. No opponent has been named at this time.

The card is promoted by Edgardo Rosani Morresi, and the fight is listed as being televised on Argentina TyC Sports.
