(AUG 22) If boxing fans of Jeri Sitzes have wondered where Sitzes has been lately, since she has not been in the ring as a boxer lately---wonder no more!

On Saturday night at the Buffalo Bills Hotel & Casino, in Primm, Nevada,  Sitzes was featured in a Muay Thai match against Misty Sutherland, and the two were fighting for the WBC  International Muay Thai Super Bantamweight title.

Sitzes has had her share of wars as a boxer, fighting such tough veterans as Melissa Hernandez, Ada Velez, Ela Nunez, Lisa Brown (3 times) and Melinda Cooper who was a Multi-Amateur Champion and undefeated as a pro when they fought.

Sitzes does not limit herself to just boxing as she is also a World Class Muay Thai fighter and is a WBC Muay Thai World Champion.  But she said this night that she would also like to win a title in boxing in the near future.

Sitzes said that in Muay Thai a fighter uses three times the energy than boxing, so boxing was much easier. Her long time trainer, Ike Stafford has been training Sitzes in both sports for ten years.

Last night in Primm , Nevada, Sitzes won by TKO in the third round against Sutherland of Calgary, Canada.  The WBC title bout was scheduled for five (three minute) rounds. Photo Flash Slideshow

Right from the sounding bell the two combatants came out very aggressive throwing punches and kicks. Muay Thai fighters have 16 weapons, punches, elbows, knees, forearm, feet and various kicks as opposed to a boxers two weapons.  Sutherland sustained a very deep cut over her right eye from an elbow strike in the third round resulting in the stoppage of the fight by the Ringside Doctor.
