(AUG 29) On Saturday night at the Plaza de Toros, in Tlaxcala, Mexico, there were four women's bouts on the card. In one bout flyweight Mariana Juarez, 112, won by a 10-round unanimous decision over Asami Shikasho. Juarez was defending her WBC Flyweight title; in a second bout, Zulina Munoz, 117½, won by a second KO over Verena Crespo, 112½. The two were fighting for the WBC Silver bantamweight title. Again, Munoz gets a questionable opponent for fight for a belt. In the third bout, Ana Arrazola, 105, won by an eight round unanimous decision over Cuca Jimenez, 107. In the fourth bout, Esmeralda Moreno stopped her opponent, Linda Sanchez in the seventh round, in a scheduled 10 round bout.
