(DEC 8) WBAN has received a press release from the WBC, that
longtime veteran, Laura Serrano will return to the ring on
December 16, 2011, at the Mandalay Bay Hotel, in Las Vegas,
Nevada. Serrano's last fight took place in Germany in 2007,
where she fought for a world title against Ina Menzer.
I am planning to be present at the WBC Convention and this fight
card.
The Press Release stated the following: On December 16, and to
coincide with the WBC Convention, Sampson Boxing in Association
with Promociones del Pueblo will proudly present a night of
world-class professional boxing featuring five regional title
fights at the fabulous Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las
Vegas, Nevada. Fights on the card: Main Event, 12 rounds, WBC
Latino middleweight title, Marco Antonio Rubio vs. Matt Vanda;
Co-feature, 10 rounds, WBC Youth Intercontinental featherweight
title, Javier Fortuna vs. Miguel Roman; undercard, 10 rounds,
WBC Latino Welterweight title, Azael Cosio vs. Ronnie Warrior;
Samuel Rogers vs. Jamar Freeman; John Jackson vs. Keandre
Leatherwood; and FEMALE BOUT; six-round female super
featherweight attraction between Las Vegas-based southpaw Laura
"La Poeta del Ring" Serrano (17-4-2, 6 KOs) and Jamestown, New
York's Ela "Bam Bam" Nunez (10-11-1, 2 KOs).
WBAN would like to welcome
Laura Serrano back in the ring, and I look forward to seeing her
in Vegas to see her Comeback!
