(OCT 13) Just when we are
seeing some really great matchups this weekend where many of the
top female boxers will be fighting for world titles, we have one
of the most embarrassing matchups taking place for a WIBF light
welterweight title.
According to Boxrec, 24-year old Marie Riederer, of Weisswasser,
Germany, 12-1-1 (9KO), will be fighting 39-year old Angel
McKenzie, 4-27-0, of Brixton, London, tonight in Ofen Stadthalle,
Velten, Brandenburg, Germany.
Boxrec has McKenzie ranked #43, and Riederer #13 world
ratings.
McKenzie has not won a fight since April of 2010, and has
accumulated NINE STRAIGHT LOSSES that span from June 4, 2010 to
February 11, 2012.
But let's even take her record
back further, prior to 2010.
Since 2006, McKenzie had EIGHTEEN
LOSSES, and two wins with a 0-4 and 4-19-0 boxer(s).
How can ANY BOXER be offered ANY title shot with 27 LOSSES, and
4 WINS?
