(JAN 18)  WBAN just viewed the first episode of Boxer Chicks on Vimeo, produced by Tomorrow Pictures TV [tomorrowpictures.tv], that has produced a series on female boxing.  We thoroughly enjoyed the first episode and have embedded the video on WBAN.

In the first episode Terri Moss talks about the inherent social bias of being a female fighter. For many female and fighter are two words that don't go together, for Terri that is the meaning of life.

Background of Moss:

For Terri "The Boss" Moss boxing didn't come into her life until a girlfriend who was going through a divorce - and wanted to take out some of her frustrations on a punching bag - suggested that Terri tag along to a gym for one of her boxing workouts. "I was just starting to train for my first triathlon and had only completed a half-triathlon prior to this. She begged me to come along and I finally agreed, but told her she was an idiot. I said, ‘Do I look like I want to get my face beat in?’ But I went anyway. That’s when everything changed," says Moss. "Here I was, what I thought was a pretty good athlete. I mean, when I was in the gym, people would come up to me and ask if I was an instructor because I was in really good shape. But you know, I couldn’t hit those pads for one minute without getting winded. I was totally impressed. There was something to this sport, and I wanted to know what it was."

During her career Moss fought for five world titles in three weight divisions. On May 10, 2007 she won the WIBF Strawweight World Title, and the WIBA mini flyweight Intercontinental Title in Tulsa, Oklahoma, against Stephanie Dobbs. Moss was 41 years old, and Dobbs only 28, two years older than Moss' own daughter. After two failed attempts to arrange a title defense, Moss retired without a defense one year later on May 10, 2008. She retired in Atlanta, Georgia as a full time boxing trainer and personal trainer for women in an all-female boxing program at Decatur Boxing Club in Decatur, GA. Moss trains competing amateur and professional boxers, conducts boxing fitness programs, and is a personal trainer and author. [copyrights of background/Tomorrow Pictures TV].

Terri is now in the center of the ring for the Fr3deR1cK directed Tomorrow Pictures.TV web series "Boxing Chicks."
