"Barbie" Juarez returns to the ring
Report by Pepe Rodriguez/WBC
March 15, 2013

(MAR 15) On April 27th, Mariana "La Barbie" Juarez will return to the ring in a WBC Super flyweight final elimination bout against Riyo Togo from Japan, in a fight that will be very hard for the Mexican, but if she wins, the next step in her successful boxing career will be to fight for her second WBC world title in different division, that currently belongs to Zulina “La Loba” Muñoz.

The venue for this great battle will be the “Palacio de los Deportes” in Mexico City, where two other great Mexican fighters will be risking their WBC titles.

Former WBC world featherweight champion, Jhonny Gonzalez, will be defending his USNBC (United States National Boxing Championship), which is a subdivision on the World Boxing Council, against Shota Hagashi from Japan and the spectacular knockout man, Dante “El Cracy” Jardon, against another Japanese, Akinori Kanai, who will be fighting for the WBC Continental Americas super featherweight title that currently belongs to the Mexican.

This great boxing card, not be called otherwise than that the MEXICO vs JAPAN WORLD CUP, will be presented by Promociones del Pueblo, Grupo Televisa and Ocesa, with the unconditional support of Grupo Modelo and the World Boxing Council.
