Paola Ortiz shines in defeat and debut

(SEPT 3) Last night at the Cowboys Dance Hall, in San Antonio, Texas,  Christina Mandy Fuentes, 113.2, won by a four-round unanimous decision over Paola Ortiz, 107.4, making her pro debut.

Erik told WBAN, "Paola Ortiz out of Houston appeared to be cannon fodder for a contender out of Laredo who was defeated by Christina Ruiz in La Villitia. The bout was four rounds and while Christina Mandy Fuentes won the decision Paola Ortiz added four fifty gallons jet fuel to the Christina v Celena controversy in San Antonio. Compared to the other male bouts where I Omar Gonzales corner set him out to be knocked out down 5 times. Paola Ortiz hardly was a walk over having some moments in her DEBUT against IFBA contendered Fuentes. I have seen some female boxing debuts and this was HARDLY a blow out compared to Maribel Zuritas."
