Two Female Bouts on Rumble on the River Card Source/PR

(SEPT 7) The Gretna Heritage Festival will rock when Les Bonano Inc. and Cox Communications bring championship boxing to town for Rumble on the River.

The main event will feature New Orleans undefeated  boxer, Marcus McDaniel, as the 10-0-0 contender aims to continue his unbeaten record by securing the IBA Americas Middleweight Championship in a clash with Jean Baptiste from Tampa, Florida.

In the women's boxing action:  Tiffany Junot of Algiers Point, LA, 10-3-1 (6KO), will seek to extend her WBC World Champion title reign with a win over Rachel Clark from Washington, DC, 6-6-1, in a bout sure to bring the rumble to the river.

In another female bout, Sydney LeBlanc of Gretna, LA,  will face Tiffany Woodard from North Carolina for the IBA Americas Championship.

In a heavyweight fight, Ahror Muralimov will fight Nathan James of West Palm Beach, Florida.

Hometown fighter Terry Young of Gretna, LA, 1W-0L, will fight in the pro debut for Jay Williams from West Monroe, LA.

Up-and-coming Regis Prograis of New Orleans, LA, 5W-0L, will look to add another win to his flawless record.

Seven fights total are scheduled for the evening of October 3 at the Gretna Heritage Festival MainStage. The doors open at 6pm, and the fights begin at 7pm with tickets starting at $25.

Fighters will be available for photo and interview opportunities at the weigh-in located at Rugby Pub,2802 Belle Chasse Hwy, Gretna, LA, 504-363-0007.

The Kyle Turley Band will provide live entertainment, and guests will be able to purchase food and drinks at concession stands. Tickets are online at Ticketmaster.
