Two WBF Titles on the Line for Hammer and Kuehne when they defend their WBF Titles

(DEC 3) WBAN received a press release in regards to WBF world champions Christina Hammer (15-0, 7 KOs) and Ramona Kuehne (20-1, 6 KOs) defending their titles this Friday, December 6, 2013, at the Brandenburg Halle in Frankfurt/Oder, Germany.  The card is promoted by SES Boxing, and the show will be televised live in Germany on Sport 1.

Christina Hammer

Hammer, 23 years old, won the WBF World middleweight title in February 2011, and will be making her sixth defense when she takes on 19-year-old Mexican Carmen Garcia (10-2, 5 KOs).

Last May the Dortmund-fighter moved up to Super Middleweight to dethrone reigning undefeated WBF World titlist Zita Zatyko (15-0-1) to become a two-weight world champion, but she is now fully focusing on dominating the middleweight division.

In Garcia she will be facing a young, hungry up-and-comer who is entering her first world championship fight. Nicknamed “La Demoledora” (the devastating), she turned pro in 2011 and suffered a couple of early losses, but is coming off six straight victories.

Ramona Kuehne

In a second female WBF Title bout, WBF Super Featherweight Champion Ramona Kuehne, 33,  captured the WBF title in 2010 and now rematches Hungarian Renata Domsodi (11-3, 5 KOs) in what will be her fifth defense.

In her last title-defense Kuehne outclassed Brazilian Halana Dos Santos to win a landslide unanimous decision this past March. But that is her only fight since the first Domsodi bout in January 2012, as injuries has kept her out of regular action, and she should expect a tougher night in Frankfurt.

In their original encounter, Kuehne won by eighth round technical knockout when Domsodi was stopped due to a deep cut. The 34-year-old from Budapest will now get a second shot, and with two clear victories in her last two bouts she will travel to Germany full of confidence.

In addition....Also on the card will be former world heavyweight title-challenger Francesco Pianeta taking on undefeated Robert Teuber, and an interesting all-German Cruiserweight clash between undefeated Dennis Ronert and former top-contender Kai Kurzawa.

Tale of the tape with an independent world rating - BOXREC:

Christina Hammer - #1 - middleweight
Carmen Garcia - # 22 - Welterweight

Ramona Kuehne - #8 - Super Featherweight
Renata Domsodi - #40 - Featherweight
