(MAY 4) With the vacant WBF
International Women's Featherweight title on the line, German
Melanie Zwecker will fight Grecia Nova on Saturday
May 10 at the Pfinzhalle in Russheim, Germany.
Zwecker, 30, 5-0 (2) from Karlsruhe, only twenty kilometers from
Russheim. In preparation for this title, she went through
a tough and lengthy training camp which included many rounds of
sparring with WBF World Super Flyweight Champion Raja Amasheh
(16-0-1). She is reportedly in top shape and ready to go to the
next level and put on a show in front of her fans.
Grecia Nova, 28, got off to a horrible start to her pro career,
albeit against good opposition, going 1-14-4 in her first
nineteen outings, but has since rebounded very well. A
winner in ten of her last sixteen, the San Juan resident now
holds a 11-20-4 ledger, and is coming off two straight
victories. Having been in six championship fights already,
against vastly more accomplished opponents than Zwecker, she
will not be intimidated by the task at hand.
Baden Box Promotion, headed by Michael Siegel, is staging the
show, which will also include a full undercard featuring German
talent in interesting match-ups.
