Zulina Munoz Retains WBC Title; Rivas Wins WBC Title

(JUNE 29) Last night at the Centro de Espectaculos, Epazoyucan, Hidalgo, Mexico, Zulina "La Loba" Munoz, 42-1-2 (27KO), of Mexico City, Mexico, successfully defended her WBC Super Flyweight Title, when she TKO'd Renata Domsodi, now 12-5-0 (5KO), of Budapest, Hungary.


In  a second female bout on the card, Yazmin "Rusita" Rivas, of Torren, Mexico won the WBC Bantamweight title, now 30-8-0 (9 KO), by winning a unanimous decision with scores of 99-90, 98-91 and 99-90 over Alesia Graf, 26-5-0 (11KO), of New South Wales, Australia.

In a men's bout, Osvaldo Novoa of Mexico, retained the belt that guarantees him as WBC Straweight champion by TKO over Nicaraguan Alcides Martínez. 

Other results: 

Bantamweight Jessica Gonzalez, Mexico City, Mexico, won a 10-round unanimous decision over Yulihan Luna Avila, Durango, Mex.

Light flyweight Esmeraldo Moreno won an eight-rounder by unanimous decision over Lorena Mendoza.

Light flyweight Lorena Cruz won by a second round KO over Estefani Casillas.
