(AUG 16) Last night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, the results are the following:  In the main event, Olivia Gerula, 125,  won an eight-round unanimous decision over Kaliesha West, 126.  Final judges scores were 78-73, 78-74, and 76-75.  The mainliner did not disappoint!

As one observer wrote into WBAN, they said that it was a fight worthy of its main event status. After a slipped on the very first punch in round one, Gerula could not believe the ref gave her an standing eight count. Thinking it could cost her the fight right out of the gate she fought with everything she had to make up the difference. West used a sharp jab, a beautiful left hook and stayed busy.  By the last round, the punches by both boxers were "flying".  In what was written into WBAN this was an action-packed bout by both boxers.

Jennifer Santiago, won a six-round unanimous decision over Sherine Thomas. Final judges scores were 59-54, 57-56, and 57-56;

Lightweight Brenda Gonzales, of New Mexico, won a six-round majority decision over Lucia Osegueda, of Texas. Final judges scores were 57-57, 55-59, and 55-59;

Super bantamweight Judy Pereira, of  Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, won a four-round unanimous decision over Eloise Picard, of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. Final judges scores were 37-39, 37-39, and 37-39. Both making their pro debuts;

Light middleweight Alicia "The Empress" Napoleon, 01-26-1986, of Canada, won by a first round TKO [1:06] over Monique Duval, of Oakville, Ontario, Canada. The fight was scheduled for four rounds.

Super flyweight Ashley Nichols, of Ontario, Canada,  won a four-round unanimous decision over Amanda Lovato, pro debut, of New Mexico, USA. Final judges scores were 36-40 on all cards;

and junior welterweight  Lita Mae Button, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada,  won a four-round unanimous decision over Maureen Riordon, of Colorado, USA. Final judges scores were 36-40 on all cards.
