(SEPT 4) Tonight Bobby D.
Presents will showcase a much awaited fight card billed as “San
Diego Fights: Dangerous Divas” at the Crowne Plaza Hotel,
Mission Valley, California. Boxing fans are going to be
treated with three female bouts on the card, and two men's
bouts.
In the mainliner, Jolene
"Classy Assassin" Blackshear, 108, of San Diego, is set to fight
Susan Reno, 108. of New York, New York. Reno will
definitely have her work cut out for her in this tough-as-nails
matchup but she is ready to mix it up with Blackshear.
Reno and Blackshear are those female boxers in the sport that we
refer to as "Warriors" in the ring.
Yes----Reno is taking on a very challenging opponent, Blackshear
is a two-time world champion----but for her, taking on a tough
fight is something that she looks forward to. The two will
be fighting in a six-rounder non-title bout.
In the co-main event, in
eight-rounds of action, another female bout highlights this
great card featuring with Kenia Enriquez, of Tijuana, Mexico vs.
Mayela Perez, of Saltillo, Mexico.
At 11-0-0 (6KO), Enriquez is a fierce competitor and has yet to
be beaten in the ring by anyone in the sport as a professional.
Perez with a 11-15-4 (7KO), is a tough veteran in the
sport who has fought in other's backyards. She has been boxing
professionally since 2003.
In April of 2014, Perez won the
vacant WBC Silver strawweight title, and in February of 2013,
she had a draw with undefeated Dorely Valente when they fought
for the WBC Youth Super Flyweight title.
In the second fight of the
evening, on the undercard, Haley Pasion, of Honolulu,
Hawaii, 126.5, will be fighting Jillian Lybarger, 131.5.
Both of these boxers will be making their pro debut. There
were some weigh-in issues with this fight, but it resolved with
the weight being at 131.5 lbs.
