Yvonne Caples Returns to the Ring!
by Sue TL Fox
September 9, 2014

(SEPT 9)  WBAN has just learned this week that Yvonne Caples, is returning to the ring, since last fighting in December of 2006.  She will be stepping back into the squared circle this coming Friday, in Durham, North Carolina.

Caples has been living in Raleigh, North Carolina for the last year and a half where she works at an all-girls independent school teaching Computer Science and helping teachers use technology in their classrooms.

Caples told WBAN, "I started back training a couple of years ago, but didn't really think I would get back to fighting. However, I have been so inspired by all the amazing women who have made comebacks such as Jolene Blackshear and Chevelle Hallback. I feel great physically and have a renewed passion for the sport."

"I found a wonderful local promoter named David Moore of 'It Takes One Hits Promotions' to work with who is putting on fabulous local shows here and have gotten a lot of local support. I will be fighting a woman named Ebony RIvera who is a tough competitor coming out of the amateurs. We are fighting at 112 lbs.," added Caples.
