(MAY 29) Five-times, four
Division, Female World Boxing Champion Chevelle Hallback, is on
"the hunt" for the three reigning Female Super Lightweight World
Champions; Erica Farias (WBC), Fernanda Alegre (WBO), Ana Laura
Esteche (WBA) and for the undisputed Female Welterweight World
Champion Cecilia Braekhus (WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF).
Hallback has been a professional
boxer since 1997, and has long endeavored to be crowned
undisputed World Champion. Capturing the much coveted Green &
Gold belt of the WBC, along with the WBA and the WBO belts, is
all Hallback is focusing on as she commits to realizing this
dream.
Hallback, a native of Plant City, Florida, during an 18 year
career, captured the WIBF World Featherweight title (3-6-98),
IBA Female World Featherweight title (8-27-02), IBA Female Super
Featherweight title (8-3-03), WIBA World Super Featherweight
title (7-2-04), IFBA World Lightweight title and the WBF Female
Welterweight title (8-22-14).
At 43, Chevelle Hallback's conditioning is that of a
Tri-Athlete. She's continuing her regimen at the Bulldog Boxing
and Fitness, in Tampa, FL., which Haitan Jr. Middleweight Silky
Wilky Campfort operates and owns with his wife, lightweight
Cristina Swanson-Campfort.
Chevelle says she feels strong and is continuing to maintain
herself within the Super Lightweight division because "She's
Coming."
"I have respect for all the
females fighting for their right to fight. This is a sport
unlike any other because of the challenges we all face. Yet, we
push on," said Chevelle. "And, right now there are 4 specific
Female World Champions that are at the top of their Game, one
being an Undisputed World Champion, I seek a rematch with here
in the U.S., on a Major Fight Card and on TV. My long quest to
fight on HBO, Showtime, CBS Sports and NBC Sports is near so,
Erica Farias, Fernanda Alegre, Ana Laura and Cecilia Breakhus
let's do this! and really show the world that Women's Boxing is
a Sport that should be highlighted on major fight cards,"
Chevelle added.
Currently Chevelle is seeking to get on the July 11, 2015,
undercard of Keith Thurman vs Luis Collazo title bout, in Tampa,
Florida.
