the net on the WBC website, that reports, ex- World Boxing
Council (WBC) light flyweight champion, Esmeralda “Joya”
Moreno, will get another title opportunity at the International
Oasis Arena Cancun on July 23rd to face current WBC flyweight
Empress Yessica “Kika” Chavez. [This will be a very
interesting on top-notch fight on the card for sure, with
potential high-energy boxing action].
WBC said, "Esmeralda's pro debut
was on April 20, 2005. She now has a professional boxing record
of 25 wins with 9 KO´s and six defeats. Starting in 2013 she
announced a temporary recess as she became mother of Larissa
Valentina on June 2013.
Both warriors, started in a give and take brawl on February 19,
2011, with Joya Moreno getting the victory and the WBC silver
light flyweight world championship. After defending that crown 5
times, she conquered the world title defeating Japanese Naomi
Togashi at the Miguel Hidalgo gym in Puebla.
Having become a mom, Esmeralda returned to boxing, and on April
30 she traveled to Austria, to defeat Eva Voraberger, with a
handy majority decision victory.
Now, “joya” is totally focused on this hard upcoming fight
against “kika”. If she wins she will get top the top of the
female boxing elite, one more. "
