(FEB 25) In 2016, Amanda "The Real Deal" Serrano,
31-1-1 (23KO), of Brooklyn, New York, had quite a year in 2016.
Serrano had four professional bouts, winning all bouts---Not
only was she busy in the ring, but definitely out of the ring in
2016. We just recently sent her award trophy for winning
the top fighter of the year with WBAN in 2016. [2016
WBAN Yearly Awards]
In addition to her
accomplishments in the ring in 2016, she had the honors of being the first female to
headline a card in Puerto Rico, where she won by a fourth round
KO; Serrano was featured in every newspaper in Puerto Rico
on every top TV program there---with over 35 billboards
throughout the island; She and her sister, Cindy Serrano
were in the movie "Fight Valley." where they were featured along
with MMA stars Holly Holm, Miesha Tate and Chris Cyborg; In
October of 2016, she fought her fifth world title in her fourth
division WBO Super Bantamweight World title winning by TKO and
tying her record with Miguel Cotto; she was also awarded WBO
Female Fighter of the year; She and her sister, Cindy
Serrano recently received notice that they are going to be
included in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the
first female siblings to become World Champions at the same time
in a major organization (WBO); and lastly Serrano was voted
Fighter of the Year in Puerto Rico---not just female, but the
Fighter of the year....among many more things to mention in her
accomplishments in 2016.
In 2017, she wasted little time
with making a huge accomplishment when she fought on January
14th, at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York, winning
a 10-round unanimous decision against Yazmin Rivas
where she was defending her Junior Featherweight WBO world title, in
addition for the WBC Diamond belt,
and the WBAN Independent belt. [Link

Serrano said after receiving her
WBAN 2016 award this week, "Today I received one of the best
Gifts/Awards ever! As most of you know by now I was awarded
Fighter of the year by WBAN for 2016. Out of all my
accomplishments this by far is the best. I've won multiple
world titles in multiple divisions 122, 126, 130, 135 by
multiple organizations WBO, WIBA, WBC, IBF, UBF, NABF but the
only one that didn't come with a price tag and was purely done
for the growth of our some times un-excepted sport is the WBAN."
Serrano is one of the top elite athletics who have fought for
the WBAN belt. There is no price tag to fight for the WBAN
Belt----only being one of the top female boxers in the world
fight for this independent world title belt.
