(APR 19) On April 17, 2018, at
the Korakuen Hall, in Tokyo, Japan, promoted by Reason
Promotions, there were three female bouts on the card.
There were also four men's bouts on the card.
In an eight round bout [47kg]
former WBC Minimumweight Champion Yuko Kuroki, 103¼, of
Fukuoka, Japan, won an eight round bout by a unanimous decision,
now 18-5-1 (8KO), over former OPBF Atomweight champion
Momoko Kanda, 103, from Osaka, Japan, 10-10-2 (4KO). The final
judges scores were 79-73, 79-74, and 78-75.
In the second female bout on the
card, in a battle of the super bantamweights, Akane Fujiwara,
121¾, of Chiba, Japan won by a close majority decision against
Michiko Abiru, 120, of Saga, Japan, who was making her pro
debut. The final judges scores on this bout was 38-38,
39-37 and 39-37. Fujiwara now 1-1-0 (0KO), Abiru is 0-1-0.
In the third bout, in a scheduled
four-rounder in the featherweight division, Yoshi Wakasa, 125½,
of Hokkaido, Japan, 125½, won by a unanimous decision over
Rimin Shimano, 126, of Osaka, Japan.
All judges scorecards were 40-36.
Wakasa remains undefeated with a 5-0-0 (2KO), and Shimano is now
1-1-0 (1KO).
