(NOV 16) Today is the first
day of the Third WBC Women's Convention that is held in the
Phillippines. The event takes place from November
16th to November 19th, 2018, in Manila, the beautiful capital of
the Philippines.
The WBC Said the following:
Women’s boxing is growing very fast and gaining more and more
recognition and public interest all over the world. Women’s
fights headline big events which are broadcasted live on TV in
many different countries. We are proud to say that the WBC has
been the frontrunner of this development for many years.
“Women boxers are always in condition and never have weight
problems. The Women's Convention seeks to dignify our Sport.
Women come out to fight and what we seek is to improve
conditions, as well as better development for them.” stated,
Mauricio Sulaiman, WBC President.
At this Summit we want to discuss the past, present and future
of our beloved sport, address challenges, possibilities and also
risks and, of course, celebrate and honor the many strong and
powerful women who have made an impact inside and outside of the
ring and continue doing so every single day.
Main topics to be addressed will include:
- Safety and well being of the women boxers
– Medical issues and importance of the Clean Boxing Program.
– Impact of women’s boxing on social networks.
– Promotion of women’s boxing.
– An important talk will be offered on the main medical topics.
– We will talk about the history of women’s boxing worldwide and
the impact it has had, now that its' been organized and
recognized all around the world.
