(JULY 10)  The hottest news to hit the sport this week is that boxing fans will finally get to see a rematch between Katie Taylor of Ireland and Delfine Persoon, of Belgium, that will take place on August 22, 2020, at the Matchroom Fight Camp.  In this ten-round multi-world title bout, Taylor will be defending her WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO world titles.

Originally, Taylor's next fight should have  been with Amanda "The Real Deal" Serrano, but due to multiple complications in the making of that fight, it is not going to happen. 

So it is a great time to see the rematch between Taylor vs. Persoon.  Long overdue, as this was one of Taylor's controversial wins, when the two fought on June 1, 2019, with one judge seeing the fight a draw, and the two other judges scoring the bout in favor of Taylor.  Final judges scores on that fight was 95-95, 96-94, and 96-94.

WBAN is excited to see the rematch and that this may ultimately be settled in a rematch. Is is a great matchup and we hope the best for these two in that whoever takes the decision that it will be a solid decision either way and we can move on with the controversial decision that plaqued this first bout between these two boxers.
