(JAN 25) In the first female
fight of the year, Panamanian Yaditza “Tigrilla” Pérez (14-13-1,
6 KOs) will try to snatch the World Boxing Association Super
Flyweight belt from Mexican Maribel “Pantera” Ramírez (13-9-2, 3
KOs). The bout will take place in Lima, Peru on the 30th of this
month.
After a long period of inactivity, champion Ramírez returns to
the ring with a lot of enthusiasm and ready to defend the title
she won on May 19th, 2018 when she defeated Linda Laura Lecca at
home. That great achievement came after several opportunities in
which the same WBA belt was at stake, but “Pantera” had not
achieved the desired success.
From the city of Chiriquí, Panama, the challenger Yaditza Pérez
is ranked fifth in the WBA ranking and owns the WBA FEDELATIN
belt. She won the latter belt in February 2020 at the KO DRUGS
program held in her native country. She is also undefeated in
her last five fights, which has opened the door for her to fight
for a world championship.
“Pantera” will face a great challenge against “Tigrilla” in the
same land where she has been consecrated.
