(MAY 17) WBAN would like to give our sincere thoughts and prayers for Mexican female boxer Alejandra Ayala, after she sustained an injury in the ring when she fought in the history-first "mainliner" in Glascow, Scotland.

In what was a fight of a lifetime for this talented boxer, that took place on  May 13th at the SSE Hydro, in Glasgow, Scotland, super welterweight Hannah Rankin, 153 1/2, won by a ten-round TKO over  Ayala. The two were fighting for the WBA Super Welterweight and the IBO Super Welterweight titles.  According to news sources, she was taken to a hospital immediately after the fight and had an undisclosed surgery.  Some media sources said it was a Hematoma, and we have not verified that information.

Other sources have reported that she is in an induced coma at this time and in stable condition.  Until we hear otherwise, please keep all of your prayers for this young fighter.

WBAN Will keep you updated as news comes in on Alejandra.
