26 years professionally and will be honored at the upcoming
International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame, October 6th-7th,
2023, at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, is
set to be recognized in Florida with the following!
On
Monday, September 25th, in Plant City, Florida, Mayor Nathan Kilton
will recognize Chevelle Hallback, IWBHF 25-year honoree with a
proclamation from the City of Plant City.
The proclamation
recognizes Chevelle, a Plant City native and resident for her
achievements in the world of women’s boxing.
Chevelle began her
ring career in 1992, and is a six-time multi-world champion, having
held the following titles: WIBF World Featherweight, 1998; IBA
World Super Featherweight, 2002; WIBA World Super Featherweight,
2005; IBA World Lightweight, 2008; WBAN World Lightweight, 2008,
and WBF World Welterweight, 2014.

in Albuquerque, New Mexico on a Televised Sports show.
She has faced a roster of
stellar competition during her career, and is excited to be
recognized by her hometown. “I’m pleased and excited to be
honored by Plant City,” Chevelle said. “I’m proud to be from a
small town, and have always tried to represent Plant City in a
big way. 25 years is a long time, but I’m not finished yet!”
Chevelle will receive her proclamation from Mayor Kilton
September 25 at 7:30 PM, in the City Commission Chambers of the
Nettie Berry Draughon Municipal Building, 302 West Reynolds St.,
Plant City.
