(MAY 14) Yesterday morning
WBAN received a letter from multi-hall of famer Stephen Blea in
regards to a authentic one-of-a-kind WBC belt to put up for
auction to support women's boxing and to keep the process going
with the sport.
Stephen Blea wrote the
following:
After a discussion with my Partner Raul Utajara, Raylene and
these Female Boxers, we decide to give the WBAN this Belt, to
auction off for funds in Support of Women's Boxing, and keep the
beautiful process going!
Yanayli Gutierrez, National Silver Gloves Champ, Longmont
Boxing, Ava Jade Lopez, and Emma June Casamento, of Reyes Boxing
Club, Jackie Martinez, Sanchez Boxing Club, and Pro's Liza Amaya
6-0 and Women's International Hall of Famer Terri "Lil Loca"
Cruz, and our Beautiful Brawlers Sisters, Blanca and Lupi, We
all send Love and Support to WBAN!
This Belt was designed by
Alain Flores of the WBC with the support of our WBC President
Mauricio Sulaiman, and WBC Cares Chairwomen Jill Diamond.
This belt is one of a kind---we were going to give away to a
Female Outstanding Boxer at one of our WBC Gladiators Amateur
Boxing Shows.
Sadly USA Boxing banned any further WBC Cares Amateur Shows,
here in the USA, that entailed any WBC Belts, Medals, etc. it's
even in there rule book for 2024.
Our WBC Cares Amateur Boxing events, had been going strong on
for over 13 years. We not only Supported male and female boxers
but Community events, such as Cancer Victims, local Boxing Gyms
as well.
My Partner Raul, and I will
still continue to Support our amateur boxers, with upcoming
Cleto Reyes Gladiator's Boxing events leading up to a National
Tournament.
Recently Raul and his Familia, as a Promoter of Pro Boxing,
recently recognized Silver Gloves Amateur Boxers as his show.
All boxers received WBC Cares Silver Medals, and we will
continue to support our boxers.
We have much Appreciation to our WBC Cares Familia and our Cleto
Reyes Familia, for all their Support through this process.
Big Thanks to Sue Fox and her WBAN Board for supporting Female
boxing from the Amateurs to the Pro's!
