(APR 18) On July 11, 2025, a fantastic event at Madison Square Garden in New York City will showcase the immense talent of female boxers. The card features all-female fight card, highlighting incredible matchups that promise to be entertaining.

A Triumphant Trilogy: Serrano vs. Taylor III

The headline fight of the evening features the highly anticipated trilogy between Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano and Katie Taylor. These two warriors will face off in a ten-round battle in the super lightweight division. Each fighter brings a wealth of experience and this matchup is an epic clash of skills.

Serrano, who has already made a name for herself as one of the top pound-for-pound fighters, is seeking redemption after two closely contested fights against Taylor. Many fans and pundits believe Serrano was deserving of victory in their previous encounters, leading to heightened expectations for this decisive third bout.

While Serrano prefers three-minute rounds, the bout will be contested in two-minute rounds.

Taylor, the reigning champion, will defend her IBF, IBO, WBC, WBO, and WBA titles, bringing an impressive array of accolades to the ring. The stakes could not be higher as both fighters aim to cement their legacies.

Battle for the Belts: Scotney vs. Mercado

In another highlight of the card, Ellie Scotney will take on Yamileth Mercado in a multi-world title fight for the IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO Super Bantamweight belts. Scotney, known for her technical prowess and relentless determination, aims to defend her world titles against Mercado.

Super Featherweight Showdown: Baumgardner vs. Miranda

Adding further excitement to the card is the match between Alycia Baumgardner and Jennifer Miranda vying for the IBF, WBA, IBO, WBC, and WBO Super Featherweight titles. Baumgardner has garnered attention for her knockout power and speed, while Miranda’s tenacity and experience make her a dangerous contender. As they step into the ring, viewers can anticipate a competetive contest by both of these boxers.

Bantamweight Clash: Thorslund vs. Metcalf

The Bantamweight division will also see a anticipated multi-world title bout featuring Dina Thorslund against Shurretta Metcalf for the IBF, WBC, and WBO belts. Both fighters have demonstrated remarkable skill and adaptability throughout their careers, promising a dynamic match that fans won’t want to miss.

Undercard Action: Thibeault vs. Casamassa

Rounding out the night’s excitement, Tamm Thibeault will take on Mary Casamassa in a six-round undercard bout, a perfect unercard even prior to the main event.

The Future of Women’s Boxing

As we celebrate this all-female fight card at Madison Square Garden, it’s essential to recognize the strides that have been made in promoting women in boxing. Events like this pave the way for greater visibility and acknowledgment of female athletes, inspiring future generations to pursue their dreams in a sport that has historically seen limited representation.
