Holewyne Wins by Decision
over Bell-Drexel
March 28, 2004 |
|
(MAR 28) Last night at the Northern Lights
Casino, in Anacortes, Washington, Lisa Holewyne, of Texas, won a
six-round unanimous decision over Brenda Bell-Drexel, also from
Texas, with judges scoring of 58-56, 59-55, and 60-54. There was
a significant weight difference between Holewyne and Bell-Drexel, whereas
Holewyne initially weighed in at 148 lbs, and Bell-Drexel came in at 165! In
the State of Washington, they have an 11-pound weight difference, so
apparently Holewyne readily drank lots of water, wore all of her clothes,
and then weighed in at 154 lbs. In the fight, Bell-Drexel tried to utilize
her weight to her advantage, leaning and pushing, and in the early part of
the fight Holewyne had some trouble, but once Holewyne got into her rhythm,
she picked Bell-Drexel apart, most often with her right, either in close
with an uppercut or simply an overhand.

Translated by WBAN's European Correspondent
March 16, 2004 |
(MAR 16) Today's German newspapers brings a story about Regina Halmich's
participation on a CD with a "Gothic Rock Band" called "Umbra et Imago". The
reason for the controversy, is that the track she is singing along on, is
rated as sado-masochistic. Furthermore the leader of the band claims in the
article published in the
BILD Zeitung, that Regina Halmich is a "regular" at his SM Club parties
"Painball", and it was here the idea of doing a duet with Regina was
born.
