Lorissa "The Cheetah" Rivas, 5'10", born August 24, 1982, was born in Clute, Texas
in 1982. At the young age of eight; 'Lori' began kickboxing at
the encouragement of her brother Leary Jr.
At the age of twelve, she and her family moved to the boxing capital
of the world, Las Vegas, Nevada.
In 2000, she was introduced to former IBF Cruiserweight Champion
Arthur Williams, who became her first pro boxing trainer.
Although she has no amateur experience, she has regularly sparred
with some of Boxing’s elite, who have nothing but praise for the 23
year old. The list includes three time women's champion Jessica
Rackozy, veterans Lisa Le Bell and Rita Turrisi; of the men,
Jeff Mayweather, Nate Vasquez and Tyson Schwagger.
"She has a better right hand than Laila Ali”; according to trainer
and former world champion Roger Mayweather.
Correspondingly, two-time world champion, DeMarcus 'Chop Chop' Coley
replied, "Oh, she can bang a little bit, no doubt."
Lori's hobbies include horseback riding (she owns two horses),
hiking, dancing, running, bowling and volleyball.
Her goals are to become World Champion and one day own a ranch.
