107, TKO 1:50 in the third round against overmatched opponent, Szilvia
Csicsely, 106, of Hungary. Csicsely from Hungary, was reported to
have had 11 fights, but WBAN has no records of any fight records for
Csicsely. WBAN invites Universum to submit those documented records
into the Women Boxing Records site so that that unverified record can be
posted on Csicsely. Halmich's record is now 35-1 (12KO).

Andrea Nelson won a four-rounder against Shakurah Witherspoon of
Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The final scoring by all judges was
40-36. Nelson remains undefeated with 8-0-0 (3KO), and Witherspoon fell to
8-19-1.
February 22, 2001 in Inglewood, California
Karen Martin, 129, 3-0 (3KO's) raised her record to 4-0 (4KO), when
she quickly dispatched Kim Reed. Reed fell to 2-3-0. Martin landed
crisp left hooks, and just shortly into the first round, Martin dropped Reed
with a hard left hook to the temple. Reed did get up, but was quickly
knocked down to the canvas. At 1:20 the referee stopped the match. The
second women's match, was with Reiko Makarahuya, 116, of
Tokyo, who made her pro debut against Nadine Salim, 118, 2-2-1, in a
women's 4 round bantamweight bout. Both fighters continued to throw bombs
and combinations at each other. Salim was the stronger puncher, and she won
by a unanimous decision.

131, of Hyattsville, Maryland won a six-rounder against Melinda Robinson, 131. Final scoring was 60-54. This was a rematch for the
two of them. Girgrah is improved her record to 17-3-2 (8KO). Robinson
dropped to 9-14-1 (5KO).

Angie Bordelon of New Orleans, Louisiana won a featherweight four-round
bout against Pamela Opdyke. Final scoring was 40-36, 40-36,
39-37. Bordelon is now 2-2, and Opdyke has fallen to 0-7.

Nathalie Toro of Belgium won a six-round decision over Samantha Rein

Kelsey Jeffries, the final scoring was 98-93, 98-92 and 97-94. According to Universum
Jeffries did well in the first rounds, but she had difficulties keeping up as the fight
progressed.Michelle Aboro is now 19-0, and Jeffries fell to 9-3-0.
