February 28, 2001 Kensington, London, England
Cathy Brown of Peckham, U.K. won a four-round unanimous decision over Marietta Ivanova of Bulgaria. Brown improved her record to 5-0, and Ivanova fell to 0-2. Final scoring was 40-37 for the four-rounder. 

February 24, 2001- Sporthalle Wandsbek, Hamburg, Germany
Regina Halmich,
107,  TKO 1:50 in the third round against overmatched opponent, Szilvia Csicsely, 106, of Hungary.  Csicsely from Hungary, was reported to have had 11 fights, but WBAN has no records of any fight records for Csicsely.  WBAN invites Universum to submit those documented records into the Women Boxing Records site so that that unverified record can be posted on Csicsely.  Halmich's record is now 35-1 (12KO). 

February 23, 2001 Janesville, Wisconsin
Andrea Nelson won a four-rounder against Shakurah Witherspoon of Williamsport, Pennsylvania.  The final scoring by all judges was 40-36.  Nelson remains undefeated with 8-0-0 (3KO), and Witherspoon fell to 8-19-1.

February 22, 2001 in Inglewood, California
Karen Martin, 129, 3-0 (3KO's) raised her record to 4-0 (4KO), when she quickly dispatched Kim Reed. Reed fell to 2-3-0. Martin landed crisp left hooks, and just shortly into the first round, Martin dropped Reed with a hard left hook to the temple. Reed did get up, but was quickly knocked down to the canvas. At 1:20 the referee stopped the match. The second women's match, was with Reiko Makarahuya, 116, of Tokyo, who made her pro debut against Nadine Salim, 118, 2-2-1, in a women's 4 round bantamweight bout. Both fighters continued to throw bombs and combinations at each other. Salim was the stronger puncher, and she won by a unanimous decision.  
February 20, 2001  Baltimore, Maryland
Isra Girgrah
, 131, of Hyattsville, Maryland won a six-rounder against Melinda Robinson, 131. Final scoring was 60-54. This was a rematch for the two of them. Girgrah is improved her record to 17-3-2 (8KO). Robinson dropped to 9-14-1 (5KO). 

February 17, 2001- La Arena México in México City, México
Gloria Rios won a four-round decision over Adriana Chamoza. 

February 17, 2001 Biloxi, Mississippi
Angie Bordelon
of New Orleans, Louisiana won a featherweight four-round bout against Pamela Opdyke.  Final scoring was 40-36, 40-36, 39-37. Bordelon is now 2-2, and Opdyke has fallen to 0-7.

February 17, 2001 -Cheratte, Belgium
Nathalie Toro
of Belgium won a six-round decision over Samantha Rein of Germany. Toro is now 4-0-0. Rein is now 6-5-1.

February 17, 2001- Poland
Agnieszka Rylik  won a 10-round decision against Snodene Blakeney in her first WIBF Jr. Welterweight defense. Rylik (Poland) retained her WIBF world Junior Welterweight title and move her boxing record to 5-0, 4 KO's with a ten round unanimous (99-90,100-90,100-89)

February 16, 2001- Cleveland, Ohio
Sabrina Hall won a unanimous decision against Jamie Whitcomb over six rounds at 147 pounds. There were no knockdowns.

February 16, 2001- Northport, AL
Geneva Buckhalter, 177, Columbus, MS TKO1 Cellessicca Smith, 185, Tupelo, MS.

February 15, 2001- Irvine Marriott's Ballroom, California
Mary Duron,112, won by a four-round majority decision against Sue Goodwin. Before the crowd of 1455 boxing fans, she won by 39-37, 39-37, 38-38. Both fighters were making their pro debut! 

February 10, 2001, Berlin, Germany
Michelle Aboro won by 10-round WIBF Championship bout against Kelsey Jeffries, the final scoring was 98-93, 98-92 and 97-94.  According to Universum Jeffries did well in the first rounds, but she had difficulties keeping up as the fight  progressed.Michelle Aboro
is now 19-0, and Jeffries fell to 9-3-0.

February 6, 2001 - Scranton, Pennsylvania
Jacqui Frazier-Lyde, 176,  TKO1 Teela Reese, 187.

February 4, 200, Lucky Star Casino in Concho, Oklahoma
Mary Ortega, Kansas City, Missouri, won a 4-round decision over Imelda Arias, Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. Ortega moved her record to 13-0, and Arias has dropped to 2-10.

February 2, 2001, Reno Hilton, Reno Nevada
Ann Wolfe, 153, of Waco, Texas fought Kelly Whaley, 153,  of Cedar City, Utah,  in a six-rounder that resulted in a fifth round TKO. Wolfe improved her record to 6-1 (4KO), and Whaley's record fell to 2-6. Bambi Bertoncello of Issaquah, Washington won a four-round bout against Linda Robinson of Waco, Texas,  with a unanimous decision.  The judging was 40-36, 40-36, 39-37.  Bertoncello improved her record to 3-1-0, and Robinson's record dropped to 4-2-0.

February 2, 2001, Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus, Ohio
Vonda Ward, 6'5", 195,  of Macedonia, Ohio TKO'd Kisha Snow, 5' 10", 225, New York,  1:05 in the fourth round.  The fight made the televised portion of ESPN2... More to come as WBAN will be getting photos from Scott Romer! Ward remains undefeated at 11-0 (1KO).  Snow dropped to 6-1. 

February 2, 2001, Athenium Hotel in Detroit, Michigan
Marilyn Thomas won with a 4-round unanimous decision over Unique Pinson, Ohio. Thomas was making her pro debut, and according to news sources, Pinson had no business in the ring and basically avoided Thomas by running away from her most of the fight.
