Junior Flyweight Samson Sor Siriporn

decision over Kayoko Ebata, 1-1-0.
This bout was for the WBC junior flyweight
belt, where Siriporn [Taweesuk] was

In a news article [xinhuanet] they wrote
that Cambodia was chosen as the host of the

According to xinhuanet, the press release
said that the two boxers wanted to compete
in a neutral country, therefore WBC selected
Cambodia. Also that the match would have
three judges and an American arbitrator,
Gene Debianco. The fight was
apparently televised on Cambodian Television
Channel 5. On the ABS-News website they
reported the following: "Former
convict-turned boxer Samson Sor Siriporn
retained her World Boxing Council light
flyweight title by beating Japanese
challenger Kayoko Ebata.
The 24-year-old champion, whose real name is
Siriporn Taweesuk, looked passive in the
early rounds before she began to fight back,
landing many blows on Ebata's face in the
middle of 10th round. The judges gave
Siriporn the victory, scoring the bout
97:95, 95:95, 96:94." [Logged into master search]
