(JAN 27) Last night there were several
women’s boxing matches around the world. In Chubut Argentina, junior
flyweight Yesica Bopp, won her second pro bout, when she stopped
Verena Crespo by TKO in the second round. The fight was scheduled
for six rounds.
In Berlin, Germany, junior welterweight Cecilia Braekhus, remain
undefeated when she stopped Verena Crespo in the 1:47 seconds of the
fourth round of a scheduled four rounder on the undercard.
In a world title bout that took place at the Venetian, in Macao,
China, middleweight Wang Ya Nan, won a 10-round unanimous decision
over Janaya Davis. The two were fighting for the WIBA and vacant WBC
middleweight title.
Lastly, in another world title bout, in Mansfield MA, Melissa
Fiorentino won by a technical decision in the sixth round over Ela
Nunez. The two were fighting for the IWBF Jr. lightweight title.
