Night of Knockouts!
Friday in Detroit

Source: Press Release
February 20, 2008

This Friday, February 22, CLIP Boxing and Heavy Hitter Promotions will proudly present Night of Knockouts 2 at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center (Michael Guido Theatre).

Packed with guaranteed action, Night of Knockouts 2 will be taped for national broadcast on Fox Sport Network.

This card may be the most exciting night of fights Detroit has seen in some time, thanks largely to co-promoter /matchmaker Carlos Llinas.

The main event will feature Detroit's very own Vernon "ICE MAN" Paris (17-0) taking on a very dangerous Nasser "The Silencer" Athumani (21-5).

Lanardo Tyner (19-0) was originally scheduled to face Athumani but was advised by his camp to turn down the fight. Vernon Paris, while not quite at 100% (hand), stepped up to the challenge when the opportunity presented itself.

On the undercard is the long-awaited return of undefeated lightweight Kara "KO" Ro (14-0) who will square off against Philadelphia native and very tough Lakeysha "The Total Package" Williams (9-10-3).

An agreement has also finally been made between Clevelander Willie Nelson (6-0) and Detroiter Robert Jones (6-3-1) to buck heads in a six-round battle that will be Willie Nelson's first "true" test against a fighter. Jones is eager to put his career back on track.

Also appearing will be electrifying Monroe, Michigan, favorite: Wade "Pay The" Tolle Jr. (1-0) vs. Guy "Punisher" Packer, and an exciting rematch between Alexis "Hurricane" Hloros (1-2-2) and Jason "The Warrior" Wahr (1-0-2). These two hooked up in October at the Kewadin Casino and it was EXPLOSIVE! Don't let their records fool you, this fight has fireworks written all over it!

Night of Knockouts 2 is being held to raise money for the Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund.

The action starts on fight night at 7 pm. Don't miss the NEW C~Four Ring Girls.

The weigh in will take place Thursday February 21, 2008, at 6:30 pm sharp at Hyatt Regency Dearborn (Fairlane Mall) inside the Desoto room. Please attend.

Tickets are available at www.neptix.com Please call 248.977.9067 for special arrangement seating. Sponsored by 1-888-TRASH-IT & C-FOUR ENERGY EXPLOSION!
