(DEC 12)  On Saturday night at the Parque Xcaret, Cancun, in Quintana Roo, Mexico, there was tw female bouts on the card featuring Mariana "Barbie" Juarez, 112, now 32-5-3 (15KO), vs. Diana "La Torbellino" Gonzalez, 112,  5-4-0 (0KO), of Toluca, México.  Juarez was defending her WBC Flyweight World title.   Juarez was by a 10-round decision. this night. 

This was the third matchup between Gonzalez and Juarez. Gonzalez has now lost THREE times to Juarez.  Their last fight took place on August 14, 2010, whereas they were fighting for the "Interim" WBC Flyweight title in Sinaloa, Mexico.  In that exchange, Gonzalez was KO'd in the fifth round.  [Press Conference/Dec. 9, 2011]  [Weigh-in/Dec. 10, 2011]
